Being able to step away from a video game or television show that didn't fully captivate me wasn't a skill I remember needing as a kid (long ago, haha). But options were much viewer then. So on the one hand I'm glad there are more choices now, but on the other hand there are so many I feel myself living in a perpetual state of "never watching/playing the thing that could make me happiest". I guess all we can do is hone in on what we feel most passionate about, without putting pressure on ourselves to absolutely maximize every moment.
